Maria Longi

Treasurer

Maria Longi is an accomplished foreign policy practitioner who retired in 2025 as a member of the Senior Executive Service, serving most recently at the Department of State as Coordinator of U.S. Assistance to Europe, Eurasia, and Central Asia (2022–2025). In this role, she oversaw the allocation of U.S. government foreign assistance to 20 countries, including significant supplemental resources to Ukraine in response to Russia’s full‑scale invasion in 2022. She led strategic programming efforts for multiple sectors, including economic reform; media, civil society and rule of law; civilian security; and human rights.

She previously served in senior roles at the U. S. Agency for International Development as Deputy Assistant Administrator for Afghanistan and Pakistan (2022), Chief Operating Officer of the USAID COVID Task Force (2021), and Acting Assistant Administrator for the Middle East Bureau (2017–2018). From 2018–2021, Longi was an Associate Dean and instructor at the U.S. Department of Defense, National War College. She also served at the Millennium Challenge Corporation as a Manager for Threshold Programs, overseeing a range of anti‑corruption programs in 10 countries. She was a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Poland, and a volunteer in Armenia with the American Bar Association Central and East European Law Initiative (ABA CEELI).

Longi earned her B.S in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University; her J. D. from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University, and her M.S in National Security Strategy from the National War College at Ft. McNair.
